Harvest of Shadows is a thrilling Halloween-inspired one-shot that invites players to solve a chilling mystery in the town of Willowbrook during its annual fall festival, The Lantern's Vigil. What should be a time of warmth and protection has turned into a nightmare, as children have begun to mysteriously vanish, leaving only eerie signs of pumpkin seeds and sinew behind. With fear gripping the town and no clear answers in sight, the mayor calls upon brave adventurers to uncover the truth and protect Willowbrook before it’s too late.

The investigation leads the party to strange and dark discoveries, including sightings of a tall, shadowy figure—a fae entity known only as the Shadow King—animating jack-o-lanterns to abduct the town’s children. As the party follows the trail, they find themselves in the poorer part of town, where a young orphan girl, Elara, has unknowingly summoned this powerful being through an ancient, forbidden book. Enticed by his promises of magic and belonging, Elara has become the key to the disappearances, unknowingly aiding the Shadow King in his quest to turn the children into his servants.

The adventurers must navigate a maze of illusions and dangerous traps inside Elara's enchanted home, confronting her to reveal the truth behind the Shadow King's manipulation. But time is running out—the Shadow King is determined to claim the children for his realm, and only by breaking the bond he shares with Elara can they hope to banish him. Will the adventurers be able to save Willowbrook's lost children and free Elara from the dark grasp of the Shadow King? Or will the town's youngest residents be lost forever to a realm of shadows and deceit?
